Our Financial Planning Story
We started caxivaletir in 2018 because too many Australians were getting generic financial advice that didn't fit their actual lives. Seven years later, we're still here helping people make sense of their money decisions.
How We Got Here
Started Small in Melbourne
Three financial planners decided to break away from the big firms. We were tired of seeing clients get cookie-cutter advice when everyone's situation is different. Started working from a shared office in Richmond with just our laptops and a coffee machine.
Digital Transformation
The pandemic forced us online, but it turned out to be exactly what our clients needed. We could suddenly help people across Victoria without them driving into the city. Built our first digital planning tools during lockdown.
Expanded Across Australia
Word-of-mouth brought us clients from Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth. We realized that straightforward, honest financial advice isn't location-dependent. Moved to our current Reservoir office and hired our first full-time support team.
Where We Are Now
Today we work with over 300 Australian families. Our approach hasn't changed much since day one – listen first, explain everything clearly, and never recommend something we wouldn't do ourselves. Still drink too much coffee, but at least we have a proper machine now.
What Drives Our Work
Plain English Always
Financial jargon exists to confuse people. We explain everything in terms you'd use with your friends. If something sounds complicated, we'll break it down until it makes sense.
No Sales Pressure
We don't earn commissions on products. Our only income comes from planning fees, which means our advice isn't influenced by what pays us the most. Sometimes the best advice is to do nothing.
Your Goals Matter
Maybe you want to retire at 50, or buy a holiday home, or just sleep better at night. We build plans around what actually matters to you, not what financial textbooks say you should want.
Ongoing Partnership
Life changes constantly. We check in regularly, adjust plans when needed, and answer questions whenever they come up. Think of us as your financial planning team, not just consultants who disappear.

Meet Our Lead Planner
Marcus joined us in 2019 after spending six years with the major banks. He got frustrated watching clients get pushed into products they didn't need. These days he specializes in helping young families navigate their first property purchases and building wealth while raising kids.
Marcus holds a Master of Financial Planning and is a Certified Financial Planner. But more importantly, he's bought his own home, raised two teenagers, and made plenty of financial mistakes along the way. That real-world experience shows up in every conversation.
How We Actually Work
Every planner talks about being 'client-focused.' Here's what that actually looks like when you work with us.
We Listen More Than We Talk
Our first meeting is mostly questions. What keeps you awake at night? What are you trying to achieve? What financial advice have you received before, and why didn't it work? We take notes, ask follow-ups, and don't rush to solutions.
Plans That Make Sense
We don't create 50-page documents that sit in a drawer. Our plans are practical roadmaps you can actually follow. Each recommendation comes with clear reasons why we suggest it and what happens if you don't do it.
Regular Check-ins
Life doesn't stop after your plan is written. We schedule quarterly reviews, send market updates when something important happens, and respond to questions promptly. If your situation changes, we adjust the plan accordingly.
Transparent Pricing
Our fees are clearly explained upfront. No hidden charges, no percentage-based fees that grow with your wealth, no commissions from product sales. You pay for advice and ongoing support, nothing more.
